Double Clutch Menu Item For Diamondbacks Series: Mahi Mahi Tacos

The Brewers are back in town and kick off a nine-game homestand with a three-game set against the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight at Miller Park.

It is Cinco de Mayo tonight and the Brewers will celebrate Mexico’s victory in the Battle of Puebla with Mahi Mahi Tacos at the Double Clutch. The Mahi Mahi is seasoned with cilantro and fresh lime and topped with grilled pineapple and a cilantro slaw. A side of Spanish rice accompanies the two tacos.

This is $9.50 (only $7.25 on Monday for Season Seat Holders with your Brewers SSH Card!) and will be available for each of the three games this week against the Dbacks. I recommend grabbing a fork because this dish is very tasty, but a little messy.

As always, the Spaghetti in a Meatball will also be featured all week for $9.50 (also on sale for $7.25 to those with a Brewers SSH Card Monday only).

The Double Clutch is located on the Loge Level outside section 215 at Miller Park.

Enjoy the homestand!

Double Clutch Menu Item For the Cubs Series: Chicago Greektown Dog

The Cubs are making the trip north on I-94 for a weekend set with the Brewers that begins tonight.  Chicago is known for many specialty food items and the Double Clutch this weekend will not disappoint as it combines two popular Chicago foods in one special meal.

The featured menu item this weekend is the Chicago Greektown Dog.  The dish starts with a Chicago-style all-beef hot dog wrapped in gyro meat (think “The Beast,” but a dog wrapped in gyro meat!).  Then, it is topped with tzatziki sauce, feta cheese, kalamata olives and Miller Park’s famous house made chips.

Gyro + hot dog + delicious.

Gyro + hot dog + delicious.

This a unique twist on a classic ballpark meal and is $9.50.  It is worth a shot and will only be available this weekend!  As always, the Spaghetti-in-a-Meatball is also available all weekend at the Double Clutch also for $9.50.

The Double Clutch is located on the Loge Level outside section 215.

On the other side of the press box (just outside section 222),  at the new and improved “Smokehouse,” fans can enjoy a Meatloaf Sandwich this weekend.  The sandwich is topped with house made chipotle bacon ketchup (which is incredible) and served on a corn dust bun with a pickle and side of cole slaw.  In addition, the three “staples” of this stand will be available all weekend including BBQ Beef Brisket, Italian Pork and Smoked Chicken.  These sandwiches are all priced at $10.50.

Mom might be a bit jealous of this meatloaf!

On the other side of the press box (just outside section 222) is the new and improved “Smokehouse.”  Featuring various meats smoked in one of Miller Park’s three smokers, staples at this stand include BBQ Beef Brisket, Italian Pork and smoked chicken.  These sandwiches are all priced at $10.50.

Each homestand, a different specialty meat will be featured.  Beginning tonight, the Smokehouse will feature a Chopped Ham Sandwich.  Bone-in ham, rubbed with BBQ spice is thinly shaved and dipped in a sweet BBQ sauce (also made in-house) and served on a cord dusted roll.  Served with a side of coleslaw, this is also $10.50.  This was a delicious sandwich that was sweet, while at the same time, maintained that smokehouse flavor.

Enjoy the homestand!

Double Clutch Menu Item for Braves Series: Chicken and Waffles

Chef John is at it again, putting his own touch on the soul food classic meal of Chicken and Waffles available for the Opening Series  at Miller Park’s “Double Clutch” stand.

Chicken and Waffles

We think you’ll really enjoy the Buttermilk fried chicken and rosemary and thyme-infused waffles, covered with cayenne maple syrup, arugula, endive and pecan slaw–two to an order.

A popular dish in the South, the Chicken and Waffles are $9 and available through the Opening series with the Atlanta Braves.

Also available is a Smoked Turkey Chili, served in a bread bowl. That is $9 as well.

Double Clutch Menu Item for the Cardinals Series: St. Louis Stuffed Meatloaf Sandwich

We have reached the last home series of the season.  The Double Clutch is sending the 2013 season out with a bang.  Featured this weekend is a St. Louis Brisket Stuffed Meatloaf Sandwich.  This is not your mom’s meatloaf, that is for sure!

Beef Brisket Stuffed Meatloaf

Beef Brisket Stuffed Meatloaf

A sandwich made of meatloaf, stuffed with house smoked beef brisket and cheddar cheese and topped with homemade ancho ketchup give this sandwich tangy, smoked flavor.  This is definitely one of my favorite’s this year.  Served with house made kettle chips and a pickle for $10, it is a delicious meal and a great way to send Brewers fans to the off-season.

A staple of the Double Clutch, the Spaghetti-in-a-Meatball is also available again and features a 1/2 pound beef and veal meatball stuffed with spaghetti and mozzarella cheese and topped with marinara sauce.  That is $9.

The Double Clutch stand is on the Loge Level outside section 215 (on the first base side of the press box).  Thanks for your support on enjoying the Double Clutch this year.  Chef John and his crew brought a number of creative ideas to the Double Clutch and I cannot wait to see what he has next year!  What was your favorite Double Clutch item of 2013? Please vote below and feel free to comment as well.

Double Clutch Menu Item for the Reds Series: Skyline Chili Skillet

It wouldn’t be a series with the Reds without some famous Skyline Chili being featured at the Double Clutch!  However, your traditional chili bowl won’t be found at one of the most popular Miller Park concession stands.  Of course we have to put a special twist on a traditional meal.  For the three game series with the Reds the “Skyline Chili Skillet” will be featured at the Double Clutch.

The fried egg topping the bowl of chili was an interesting take on a traditional favorite.

The fried egg topping the bowl of chili was an interesting take on a traditional favorite.

Served in a bowl, the very healthy (meaning generous in this case) portion of Skyline Chili is mixed with fried potatoes and topped in a way I have never seen before–with a fried egg.  Of course, some traditional toppings like cheddar cheese, sour cream, caramelized onions and scallions are on top as well.  The meal is made to order, so feel free to take toppings off as you please.  The chili bowl is $9.00 and will be served throughout the three-game series.

As a lifelong Milwaukeean and graduate of Marquette University, I am partial to Real Chili.  To me, nothing beats it.  This dish, however, has a unique take on a classic.  I know it is hot and humid this week, but it is worth a look.

A staple of the Double Clutch, the Spaghetti-in-a-Meatball is also available again and features a 1/2 pound beef and veal meatball stuffed with spaghetti and mozzarella cheese and topped with marinara sauce.  That is $9.

Double Clutch Menu Item for the Mets: Firecracker Sliders

Yesterday, we celebrated America’s holiday–the Fourth of July.  While the Brewers were on the road in Washington D.C. yesterday, we will continue the traditions that come with that holiday this weekend at Miller Park at the Double Clutch.

Featured on the menu this weekend as the Brewers face the Mets in a three-game weekend set will be Firecracker Sliders.  Two all beef sliders with a “firecracker” relish, pepperjack cheese, fried onions and a sweet molasses aioli.  The sliders are served along the famous housemade chips and a pickle.  The firecracker relish heats things up a bit, but compliments the sweet molasses aioli.  The meal is $9.00.

Nothing says "America" like Firecracker Sliders!
