On Tuesday, June 4th, we’ll host the 7th annual Stitch N’ Pitch Night at Miller Park as fans are invited to knit, crochet, cross-stitch, needlepoint and embroider while cheering on the Brewers as they take on the Oakland A’s in a 7:10 p.m. contest. Stitch N’ Pitch, a program of The National NeedleArts Association (TNNA), combines two American traditions – baseball and the needle arts – and is popular in Major League and Minor League ballparks across the country.
Starting at just $27, fans participating in Stitch N’ Pitch will receive a ticket to the game and the first 1,000 needle artists to purchase tickets and attend the event will receive a free special edition Brewers Stitch N’ Pitch Hot Dog Bobble. All participating members will be seated amongst fellow needle artists and can visit TNNA instruction tables on the Miller Park concourse and learn tips from local vendors and knitting experts during the game. Participants will also be eligible to take part in a drawing to win special prizes.
In addition, participants will have the opportunity to bring a completed knit cap or blanket to the game as a donation to the Chemo Cap Crew, which will give them to cancer patients.
Tickets available on an individual basis and for group purchases by calling (414) 902-GAME (4263) or by visiting brewers.com/stitch, but I’m told they are going fast. You’ll want to act quickly to make sure you score your bobble!
