2014 Brewers Promotional Schedule Released

Today, we announced the promotional schedule for the 2014 season.

As you already know, this schedule is highlighted by the #Brewers14in14, 14 All-Fan Giveaways planned for the 2014 season, including eight bobbleheads and six T-shirt Fridays.  Additional information about this year’s All-Fan Giveaways is available at brewers.com/allfans.

In addition to the #Brewers14in14, we’ve got more in store for you, starting on Opening Day – Monday, March 31 vs. the Atlanta Braves – when all fans in attendance will receive a Brewers magnetic schedule.  The 6th Annual Weather Day at Miller Park will take place during the first homestand of the season on Wednesday, April 2.  On this day, the Brewers team up with Discovery World, the Mitchell Park Domes, the Milwaukee Public Museum, Ready Wisconsin and Storm Team 4 meteorologists from TMJ4 for a day of learning, baseball and fun.

The “5-County, 5-Day Celebration” will take place from April 11-15. During this time, all residents of Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Washington and Waukesha counties can purchase select tickets at a 50% savings (excluding the Miller Lite Beerpen, All-Inclusive Areas and Uecker Seats).  More great bargains are in store when the Brewers host “Spring Madness” from May 13-15, with savings of 50% on select tickets (excluding All-Inclusive Areas and Uecker Seats).  For these three games against the Pittsburgh Pirates, small Pepsi products and Klement’s hot dogs will be just $1 each.

Youth players will want to be in attendance for the popular Little League Night on Monday, June 23 as the Brewers open a series against the Washington Nationals.  All Little Leaguers in uniform (registered in advance through local youth leagues) will have the opportunity to parade around the warning track in a pre-game ceremony.  Other popular dates at Miller Park include Boy Scout Night (July 21 vs. Cincinnati), Girl Scout Night (July 25 vs. New York-NL) and American Legion Day (August 10 vs. Los Angeles-NL).

The 16th Annual Brewers Community Foundation 5K Famous Racing SausagesTMRun/Walk is scheduled for Saturday, July 26, starting at 8 a.m. at the Klement’s Sausage Haus at Miller Park.  All proceeds of the Run/Walk will support the programs of Brewers Community Foundation.  For the $30 registration fee, participants receive a commemorative t-shirt, a Terrace Reserved ticket voucher good for one of eight Brewers 2014 home games, a bottle of Aquafina water, a Klement’s hot dog and a beer for participants 21 and older.  The overall top male finisher and the overall top female finisher also receive a year’s worth of Klement’s meat products.

Retro Fridays will again be designated for the first home Friday game of every month.  They include: April 11 vs. Pittsburgh, May 9 vs. New York-AL, June 13 vs. Cincinnati, July 11 vs. St. Louis, August 8 vs. Los Angeles-NL and September 5 vs. St. Louis.  Autograph Saturdays for Kids presented by U.S. Bank®, which is designated for kids 14 and under, will return on select Saturdays throughout the season.  These dates include: April 12 vs. Pittsburgh, May 10 vs. New York-AL, June 14 vs. Cincinnati, July 12 vs. St. Louis and August 9 vs. Los Angeles-NL.  Prior to these games, select Brewers players and coaches will sign autographs.

In addition, the Prairie Farms Dairy Kids Base Run will take place after Sunday home games for kids 16 and under.  Seniors will get their turn to round the bases following afternoon games on May 7 vs. Arizona, June 25 vs. Washington and July 23 vs. Cincinnati.

The annual Cerveceros Day is set for Sunday, August 10 vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Additional popular promotional items throughout the season include the “Plant a Tree” program on May 7, in which 7,000 fans receive a tree seedling, compliments of the Wisconsin DNR; a MillerCoors Brewers pennant on July 12; Potawatomi Brewers umbrella on August 23, and much more.  Fan Appreciation Night will take place on Saturday, September 27.

So, mark your calendars, plot out your games and don’t forget that Brewers individual tickets go on sale on Saturday, March 1 at 9am!

Cheers!

Spring Madness at Miller Park!

MB-13 SpringMadness-403x403-Social Graphic

Ok, let’s be honest Milwaukee, it hasn’t been the best Spring around here. It has been slow to warm up and we haven’t seen the sun very much, but before you know it, the roof will be open every game at Miller Park and summer will be in full swing. To get people ready for spring and summer, the Brewers are bringing back the ever-popular “Spring Madness” promotion beginning Monday at Miller Park and continuing through the three-game series with the Dodgers.

Fans can save 50% on all tickets $34 and less, plus small Pepsi products and Klement’s hot dogs are just $1 each. These seats include: Loge Outfield, Terrace Box, Terrace Reserved, Loge Bleachers, Field Bleachers and Bernie’s Terrace. The promotion excludes the Miller Lite Beerpen, All-Inclusive Areas and the $1 Uecker Seats. This is a fantastic deal to see the Brewers play the Dodgers, which will include a start from former Brewers pitcher Zack Greinke on Tuesday at Miller Park.

Those who were out early at Miller Park on Monday to get their Polish Racing Sausage lawn gnomes will enjoy two free tickets to one of the games as an early kick off to Spring Madness.

Last year we captured some Brewers fans who had their $1 hot dog tally in the 40s.  Sure they were groups of five, but that still averages out to eight hot dogs per person. Not bad. While Cait and I are concerned about the health of our readers next week, we would welcome any photo submissions from people who are able to beat that eight per person average.

Spring Madness

Spring Madness is a great way to kick off an eight-game homestand at Miller Park. After the Dodgers series, the Brewers will welcome the Pirates to Miller Park for a weekend series, May 24 – 26 and then their old American League Central rival, the Minnesota Twins for a two-game set, May 27 – 28. For tickets, call (414) 902-4000, visit Brewers.com/madness or stop by the Miller Park Box Office.

#WHERESPOLISH Recap

It was quite the eventful morning here at Miller Park!

If you haven’t heard by now, the second Klement’s Famous Racing Sausage, Polish, went missing last Wednesday and this morning, we finally found out what he was up to! In preparation for Spring Madness, Polish had been hard at work. Not only had he gone missing from Miller Park, but, similar to Bernie’s effort in 2011, and Chorizo’s last year, Polish spent the hours mapping and planting over 2,000 Polish lawn ornaments in the grass areas surrounding Miller Park and its parking lots.

Each lawn ornament was affixed with a pouch that included game tickets for a Spring Madness game, set for May 20 through May 22 at Miller Park. The Brewers will host the Los Angeles Dodgers during Spring Madness, and fans can save 50% on  most tickets $34 or less. In addition, Klement’s hot dogs and small Pepsi products are just $1 each for all three games.

Brewers fans reacted quickly to the news, which broke at 5am, and descended upon Miller Park. In just under 90 minutes, all of the lawn ornaments were spoken for. What a fun morning!

Where’s Chorizo? Spring Madness at Miller Park!

Well, it was quite the eventful morning here at Miller Park!

If you haven’t heard by now, the fifth Klement’s Famous Racing Sausage, Chorizo, went missing this past Sunday, which first became apparent when he didn’t show up for the Sausage Race during the game.

Well, this morning, we finally found out what he was up to! In preparation for Spring Madness, Chorizo had been hard at work. Not only had he gone missing from Miller Park the last two days, but, similar to Bernie’s effort last year, Chorizo spent the hours mapping and planting over 2,000 Chorizo lawn ornaments in the grass areas surrounding Miller Park and its parking lots.

We found the missing link!

Each lawn ornament was affixed with a pouch that included game tickets for a Spring Madness game, set for May 21 through May 23 at Miller Park. The Brewers will host the San Francisco Giants during Spring Madness, and Brewers fans can save 50% on most all tickets $38 or less. In addition, Klement’s hot dogs and small Pepsi products are just $1 each for all three games.

Plus, there were also three “Grand Prize” ornaments containing the following prizes:

1.)     breakfast with Hall-of-Fame pitcher Rollie Fingers

Roy Nowak (left) found Chorizo and also won breakfast with Rollie Fingers (right) this morning!

2.)    an opportunity for four to watch batting practice from the field with one person tossing a ceremonial first pitch; and

3.)    a home visit from the Klement’s Famous Racing Sausages for a tailgate party with supplies provided by Pepsi, Klement’s and Miller

If you weren’t able to make it down to Miller Park this morning, or if you missed out on the lawn ornaments, don’t fret!

First, we are told the Brewers Team Store by Majestic will have a limited quantity in stock. We suggest you call the store at (414- 902-4750) to check availability first.

Second, there will be an online dutch auction at brewers.com, beginning on Thursday, May 17 and ending on Thursday, May 31 at 5 p.m., in which fans can bid on five Chorizo lawn ornaments.

Finally, everyone’s a “wiener” with this special ticket offer!

To celebrate Chorizo being found, we’re offering fans Field Outfield tickets for just $30 or Terrace Reserved tickets for just $10 for the upcoming Friday night or Sunday afternoon Marquee games against the Minnesota Twins (Friday, May 18 or Sunday, May 20). That’s a 50% savings or more off of Marquee prices for this Interleague rivalry! Like the Chorizo, you’ll want to act fast! Visit brewers.com/whereschorizo to purchase!

We hope you had as much fun as we did today! And of course, we hope to see you out at Miller Park for the Twins Series this weekend then Spring Madness, May 21-23!

Cait’s Notes: Your Guide to the 2012 Promo Schedule

If you’re making plans to come out to the Brewers Arctic Tailgate event on Saturday like me, make sure you do your homework first!

You may be preparing by gathering your tent, blankets, grill, bags toss, etc., but have you already picked out your games?

You don’t want to have been waiting all winter for this chance and then be out in the cold, waiting in the line only to freeze when you get up to the ticket window—like Ralphie in front of Santa in A Christmas Story—when the sales staff asks you, “And what games would you like to attend this season?”

Never fear. Here’s the Cait’s Notes version to some of the best games -promo-wise- on the 2012 Schedule. [Fans buying online at brewers.com or via phone at (414) 902-4000, you’ll want to pay attention, too!]

My first tip?  In case you haven’t heard, our Brewers 4-Packs have returned for a limited time only. Now through tomorrow, Wednesday, February 22, fans can choose from five different 4-Pack plans and thus secure tickets to some of the best games before they go on sale to the general public on Saturday. Most of the plans include an All-Fan Giveaway date (one includes two!) and all five plans include at least one Gold or Marquee Game at regular game pricing, adding additional value to the packages, which start at just $64. For more information on these 4-Packs, bebop on over to brewers.com/4packs and get yours NOW!

Okay, so here we go. Print this out, study it hard and you’ll be ready this Saturday, February 25 at 9am when individual tickets go on sale to the general public, in person at the Miller Park Box office, online or by phone.

OPENING DAY:

The most popular game of the season is always Opening Day. This year, the Crew opens up at home on Friday, April 6 vs. the St. Louis Cardinals. And it’s this hot ticket that drives so many fans to our Arctic Tailgate party, as the Miller Park Box Office will be the only place where fans will be able to purchase individual Opening Day tickets on February 25; no phone or online orders will be accepted. However, there are only a very limited number of tickets for Opening Day that will be available at this event and each fan will be limited to a maximum of four tickets for Opening Day, based on availability.

Cait’s Notes: Hedge your bets. Purchase a Brewers 10-Pack instead, starting at just $160 and you’ll get 10 of the best games of the season, perks like regular pricing on Gold and Marquee Games, a guaranteed seat location and more ticket exchange options, plus Opening Day for FREE. Yes, you read that right—a free Opening Day ticket, plus more Brewers Baseball in 2012. And you don’t even have to wait until Saturday. Brewers 10-Packs are on sale now at brewers.com/10packs.

FANS ACROSS THE STATE ARE WONDERING…WHERE’S BERNIE?!?

The biggest Brewers fan on the planet–the loveable, mustachioed, home run & victory sliding Bernie Brewer–has gone missing and only Brewers fans can help find him!

News of the team mascot’s disappearance spread over the Twitterverse early Monday morning as it appears that Bernie is using his Twitter account, @Bernie_Brewer, to send messages and clues as to his whereabouts–all while planning a fun scavenger hunt for Brewers fans.

Here’s how it all went down.

After last Sunday’s sweep over the Pittsburgh Pirates, Bernie sent out the following tweet at 10:07pm:

"Just finished packing. Headed to bed. Tomorrow is a big day for me! Sweep dreams, Brewers fans!"

With the team headed to Los Angeles, we all kind of wondered what his big day would entail, but then Bernie’s next tweet came at 5:30am.

"#WheresBernie? I'm planning a scavenger hunt for you, Brewers fans! http://www.brewers.com/wheresbernie"

A visit to the link, brewers.com/wheresbernie, provided details of the event that Bernie is brewing this week.

It seems that with the assistance of the award-winning Milwaukee County Parks and other Wisconsin-based parks, Bernie is planning a statewide “Where’s Bernie?” scavenger hunt and Brewers fans across Wisconsin will have an opportunity to win unique and valuable prizes by participating.

In preparation for Spring Madness, Bernie Brewer has been hard at work. Not only has Bernie gone missing from Miller Park, but he’ll also be planting over 1,400 Bernie Brewer lawn ornaments across the state.

Four hundred of the lawn ornaments will have special prizes attached, and will be placed in parks throughout the 5-county metro Milwaukee area as well as in parks in Madison, Appleton, and Green Bay on the morning of Tuesday, May 24.

These 400 Bernie Brewer lawn ornaments will have pouches attached. Each pouch will contain Brewers game tickets, and many will also include additional prizes such as certificates for a night in a Miller Park Suite and game-used memorabilia; and Milwaukee County Parks passes for golf, water parks, and the Mitchell Park Domes. In addition, 100 of the lawn ornaments will be autographed by Brewers players and personnel. The scavenger hunt for fans will begin at 5 am the morning of Tuesday, May 24.

There will also be over 1,000 additional lawn ornaments, without prizes, placed in a single, undisclosed location. This location will be unveiled to fans through media outlets and on brewers.com on the morning of Tuesday, May 24. Beginning at 7 a.m., fans may come to the site to pick up their very own Bernie Brewer ornament.

In an email, one of the Famous Racing Sausages, who refused to be identified, told me:

“Bernie was just saying to me that he thought that the Wisconsin baseball fans have been ‘going mad’ with the un-spring-like weather this year. Watching them come in with coats and hats this weekend he commented,: ‘Look at them! They’ve got cabin fever and they’re ready to get out of their houses and spend some time at their local parks, including, of course, their favorite: Miller Park. I need to give them an excuse to do just that.’  Well, I’ll be doggoned!I guess that explains why he’s cooked up this promotion!”

Indeed. “Where’s Bernie?” comes in advance of our annual Spring Madness celebration from May 27-29 at Miller Park. The Crew hosts the World Series Champion San Francisco Giants during the Spring Madness weekend, and Brewers fans can save 50% on all tickets $30 or less. In addition, Klement’s hot dogs and small Pepsi products are just $1 each for all three games.

From now through May 23, Bernie will be using his Twitter account, @Bernie_Brewer, to give clues to fans about the location of where the 400 lawn ornaments with prizes will be placed. All of Bernie’s “Where’s Bernie?” related tweets will use the #wheresbernie hashtag to provide up-to-the-minute news on the promotion as well as clues to his whereabouts. Fans are invited to join in the conversation and share their guesses as to where the ornaments will be placed.

As of today, Bernie has already given clues to seven locations.

When I replied to ask if he knew of Bernie’s specific plans and hiding places, the unidentified Sausage wrote back, “No. I grilled him about it, but they’re more top-secret than the recipe for Secret Stadium Sauce. And even if I did know something, I really can’t talk about it. I do know he’s been giving out clues on Twitter. I really need to get on there and  ketchup.”
