Carrot Cake Custard from AJ Bombers
During each homestand, I’ll sample some of the latest and greatest Miller Park fare and review it here, for you.
One of the most fun, new additions to Miller Park this season has been AJ Bombers. The popular restaurant and bar-with locations in Milwaukee and Madison-now occupies the outside space formerly known as the Plaza Pavilion, along the west side of Miller Park near the right-field gate.
AJ Bombers offers a selection of cheeseburgers, egg rolls, tater tots, shakes, custards, specialty concrete mixers and more. The menu also include homestand specials, such as the player-themed burgers (Will Smith’s “Slider of Death” is still available this homestand) and city-themed concrete mixers, like this one, here for the Phillies Series only: Carrot Cake (because…Philadelphia Cream Cheese).
I’ll be sure to check in with AJ Bombers often throughout the season to keep you informed on their newest menu items, just like I have been with the ever-popular Double Clutch!

If you’ll recall, a couple of weeks ago, I wrote that MLB.com’s hit game show, “Bucks on the Pond,” powered by Ford, was slated to visit Miller Park.
“Bucks,” hosted by Jeremy Brisiel, has been to more than half of all Major League ballparks giving fans a chance to walk away with some cash by interacting with MLB.com’s studio through the magic of technology in conjunction with game action inside.
Well, today, that segment that was filmed at Miller Park on Sunday, June 9 is live on MLB.com. Tune in to check out how your fellow Brewers fans (and blog readers!) fared in the latest episode:
I also encourage you to check out Mark Newman of MLB.com’s story about these fans.
MLB.com’s hit game show, “Bucks on the Pond,” powered by Ford, is slated to visit Miller Park!
“Bucks,” hosted by Jeremy Brisiel, has been to more than half of all Major League ballparks and is working its way through the full list. And, if you’re planning on attending the Brewers vs. Phillies game tomorrow (Sunday, June 9), you might be a part of it and have a chance to walk away with some cash!
Here’s how this new fan experience works: fans at Miller Park interact will interact with MLB.com’s studio through the magic of technology in conjunction with game action inside.
Contestants are asked a trivia question (relating to baseball and just general knowledge/pop culture) on each pitch during a half-inning of baseball. Get the question correct and win money. Get the question wrong and it’s a strike. Just like in baseball, it’s three strikes and you’re out.
The difficulty of the questions, and their value, increase with the number of outs in the on-field action. Start with easy $5 questions and after one out, the questions move to $10 medium-difficulty and $20 hard questions after two outs. If the contestant lasts longer than the team’s at-bat, they win the bucks in their bank.
New this year: If contestants cross the $100 mark during the show, they’ll be invited to participate in “Say The Word” powered by Ford SYNC. Here, you can wager any part of your bank on the next question. Answer correctly and you win, answer incorrectly and you lose that amount … and it’s another strike.
Here’s a “Best Of” video from 2012 to give you a little taste of what it’s all about:
So, if you’re out here tomorrow for Carlos Gomez Bobblehead Day, make sure to be on the lookout–you just might get selected to be a contestant!
Also–stay tuned to the blog. We’ll have a recap here, as well as links to the show featuring Brewers fans.
