Cait’s A-to-Z Guide for Tomorrow’s Kenny Chesney Concert at Miller Park

Yes, it’s finally here–tomorrow, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Eli Young Band and Kacey Musgraves will make their way to Miller Park for The Corona Light Presents Kenny Chesney’s ‘No Shoes Nation’ Tour.

As a big country fan myself, I’ve been looking forward to this concert since we announced it last November.

And, just like you, I’m getting all geared up for tomorrow. I’m planning my tailgate with friends, shining up my cowboy boots and I’m blasting my “Good Stuff” playlist on repeat.

But what else do you need to know to have a fun and enjoyable experience? Read on for our A to Z guide.

Here's what Miller Park looks like as of 1pm on Friday. Click the photo to view more images of this week's set-up process.

A-to-Z Guide to the “No Shoes Nation” Concert at Miller Park

CAMERAS

You may bring your camera, but lenses cannot be longer than a driver’s license. Want to share your photos with us? Use #NoShoesMKE on Twitter and Instagram and we may feature our favorites on the blog!

CARRY-INS

Consistent with our game-day carry-in policy, fans may not bring any cans, glass containers or alcohol into Miller Park. Soda, water or juice must be in factory-sealed plastic bottles. Fans may bring food items into the stadium using appropriate containers, but only food purchased within Miller Park will be allowed into Suite areas.

Bags, purses, fanny packs or soft-sided coolers must be 16 by 16 by 8 inches or smaller and will be searched.

Hard-sided coolers are not allowed in the ballpark.

FIELD ACCESS

Anyone who has seats on the field/floor or in the Sand Bar will need to obtain a wristband to access their seating area. Stations will be set up on the Field Level concourse near sections 110, 118 and 126 to distribute the wristbands.

GATES

Gates to the ballpark will open at 4 pm. The concert is scheduled to start at 5 pm.

PARKING

Parking lots will open at 1 pm. Parking is $25 in advance at the stadium box office or online. Parking is $30 day-of-show.

RE-ENTRY

Guests may not exit and re-enter Miller Park using the same ticket. However, in case of emergency, exceptions many apply. Please ask staff for assistance.

ROOF STATUS

The roof status is always a big question folks have when we host games or events here. Right now, however, that’s still TBD. While the weather looks nice for tomorrow, it’s not nice right now as the artists are getting ready for the show, and as we know in Wisconsin, things can change quickly anyway. But open or closed, one thing is for sure–Miller Park will be rockin’!

5/18/13 Noon Update: Just heard from Senior Director of Stadium Operations Bob Hallas that the roof is expected to be OPEN if there is no rain in the area!

TAILGATING

The parking lots at Miller Park will open at 1 pm and, just like at Brewers games, tailgating is permitted. Keep in mind that gates to the ballpark will open at 4 pm and the concert is scheduled to start at 5 pm. More than 100 portable toilets will be available in the Miller Park parking lots.

TICKETS

If you missed out on getting your tickets earlier, you’re in luck! As a result of production adjustment, a limited amount of tickets have been released today to this previously sold-out show. Check brewers.com/Chesney for availability.

TRAFFIC

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has announced a full freeway closure of I-94 North-South – from 27th Street to College Avenue – which will take place from Friday evening, May 17 through Sunday morning, May 19, thus impacting No Shoes Nation concert-goers.

To better assist those attending the show, here is a map that includes detour routes. The posted northbound detour route has traffic exiting at 27th Street and continuing north to College Avenue to I-94 WEST (NB).

Two additional alternate routes that may be helpful follow:

Alternate 1: Exit I-94 WEST (NB) at 27th Street. Continue (north) on 27th Street to Lincoln Avenue. Turn left (west) on Lincoln Avenue followed by a right (north) onto 43rd Street/Miller Park Way.

Alternate 2: Exit I-94 WEST (NB) at 27th Street. Continue (north) on 27th Street to I-894 WEST. Continue (west) on I-894 WEST to I-894 NORTH. Continue (north) on I-894 NORTH to I-94 EAST and follow to Miller Park.

Concert attendees who travel along I-94 East (Northbound) through Kenosha and Racine counties should plan ahead and allow extra time for traveling. For additional information, please visit the project website at www.plan94.org

WEATHER

I just checked weather.com and, as of noon today, here’s what they are saying we can expect for tomorrow:

And there you have it–all you “need to know” before tomorrow’s concert!

Are you coming to the concert? Let me know how you’re getting in the mood.

Also, don’t forget to share your photos with us using #NoShoesMKE on Twitter and Instagram– We may feature our favorites on the blog!

See you there!
