Yes, the tremendously popular and ultracool MLB Fan Cave is back for 2012!
And this year, MLB is running a contest to select multiple fans to live the dream baseball experience in the 15,000 square foot location at 4th Street and Broadway in the heart of New York’s Greenwich Village (formerly the home of Tower Records). The 2012 MLB Fan Cave will be upgraded for the 2012 season (more on that next month) and it will start the season with a group of fan contestants, some of whom will be eliminated throughout the season until one ultimate winner is crowned before the end of the World Series.
Lucky winners will 1) watch every single baseball game played, 2) interact and film video content with current and former players, celebrities and musicians, 3) discuss the hottest baseball and pop culture topics through blog posts and social media 4) compete in exciting challenges with other fans to remain in the MLB Fan Cave – and much more.
Last year alone, more than 170 famous guests visited the MLB Fan Cave, including 66 current players, 28 former players and 76 assorted celebrities and musicians. You can check out the Fan Cave arsenal of videos here.
From a Brewers standpoint, you may recall a couple of appearances by John Axford and a interactive web chat with our very own Bernie Brewer:
And, in 2012, we hope to have even more interaction with the Fan Cave, which is why we’re putting out this call to all Brewers fans to get their entries in ASAP so we can represent Brew City in the Fan Cave in New York!
Recently, Kristin Loeser, Director of Suite Services by day and Brewers Fan Cave Scout in her spare time, set out to find some good applicants around Miller Park. You can check out her video search and learn more details about the Fan Cave here.
Unfortunately, she didn’t get too far in her search at Miller Park, so we’re relying on you!
To enter, you’ll need to click here and fill out the contest form in its entirety. You will be asked to submit writing samples, a video, and a photo.
The top fan-submitted audition videos will be posted to MLBFanCave.com, where fans will have the opportunity to vote for those they find most entertaining in order to select the 2012 Fan Fave contestants. Fans will continue to vote for their favorite Fan Cave inhabitants throughout the season based on the digital content they produce while there.
Submissions must be received by Tuesday, January 31, 2012 by 11:59PM ET.
