Today’s single-digit temperatures were ignored by the Brewers faithful today as thoughts of summer days at Miller Park filled the air. Fans queued up early at Miller Park to be the first to get single-game tickets, and combined with online purchases, the Brewers had one of the best days of single-game ticket sales in team history.
As of 3 pm, 101,000 tickets had been sold, tied for the second-highest sold in a single day in team history. The total of 101,000 is 10,000 more than last year on the first day of sales for individual games. (NOTE: the franchise record for tickets sold in a single day is 104,000, achieved on the first day of sales in 2009.)
In addition, the Club announced that Opening Day, April 6 versus the Rockies, is sold out, except for a limited number of tickets that remain as part of Season Seat packages (see below). Several additional games have limited inventory remaining.
“Once again, Brewers fans proved that spring and summer come early when it comes to being ready for baseball, and we appreciate their incredible support,” said Brewers Chief Operating Officer Rick Schlesinger. “We encourage everyone to purchase tickets in advance, not only because several games have limited inventory remaining, but also because the best deals with demand-based pricing are typically for tickets purchased early.”
Fans still have the opportunity to obtain tickets to Opening Day and all of the high demand games with the purchase of a partial or full Season Seat plan. Information on Season Seat plans is available by calling 414-902-HITS.
Games that have been the most popular with fans purchasing tickets today include Sunday, May 10 against the Cubs (Hank The Ballpark Pup Bobblehead, presented by Pick ‘n Save), Saturday, May 30 against the Diamondbacks (Star Wars Night), Saturday, June 13 against the Nationals (Brewers Postgame Concert Series featuring O.A.R., presented by Miller Lite) and Sunday, June 28 versus the Twins (Paul Molitor Bobblehead, presented by Klement’s).
As part of today’s Arctic Tailgate activities, the first 2,000 fans at the Box Office received a free Arctic Tailgate t-shirt, a Klement’s hot dog and a Pepsi, with donuts provided by Grebe’s Bakery.
Tickets remain on sale at the Miller Park Box Office, through brewers.com, by phone (414-902-4000) and at all tickets.com outlets.
Brewers and Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy Team Up for “Arctic Tailgate” on Saturday, March 1 at Miller Park
Two of the most anticipated annual “signs of summer” are coming together to form the perfect storm for Brewers fans, and it’s all happening in just a few short weeks at Miller Park.
Today we announced that we have set Saturday, March 1 as the date for this year’s Arctic Tailgate party, which marks the beginning of individual ticket sales at Miller Park. Individual game tickets will go on sale at 9 a.m. that day. This is the eighth year that the Arctic Tailgate will mark the start of individual ticket sales.
New this year, campers in line at Miller Park will have a chance to warm up in a Leinenkugel’s heated tent. The tent will be open both Thursday and Friday from 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
To celebrate the coming of summer, the first statewide serving of Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy will be available to a limited number of guests, 21 and older (NOTE: Fans must be in line at 5 pm on either Thursday or Friday to receive a wristband redeemable for one complimentary Leinenkugel product). Also, Pepsi products will be available both nights for those under 21.
In addition, the Leinenkugel’s Airstream will make an appearance at Miller Park, along with visits on Thursday and Friday from Dick Leinenkugel of the famous brewing family.
As the largest summer seasonal craft beer, Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy has developed a major league following since its debut in 2007. With increasing growth year over year, Summer Shandy has become synonymous with summer and America’s pastime.
On Saturday morning (March 1), the Box Office windows will open at 9 am for the sale of individual game tickets. Grebe’s Bakery, a new partner for the Brewers this year, will get the fun started with complimentary donuts for those in line. The Klement’s Famous Racing SausagesTM, Bernie Brewer and Brewers alumni players will be on hand to greet fans all morning. The first 2,000 fans in line will receive a hot dog and soda, compliments of Klement’s, Pepsi and Sportservice, as well as an Arctic Tailgate t-shirt. FOX Sports Wisconsin and 620 WTMJ will both serve as media sponsors, and the FOX Sports Wisconsin Girls will be in attendance on Saturday.
Only a very limited number of tickets for Opening Day will be available at this event (note: the Miller Park Box Office will be the only place where fans will be able to purchase individual Opening Day tickets on March 1; no phone or online orders will be accepted). Each fan will be limited to a maximum of four tickets for Opening Day, based on availability. Meanwhile, through Monday, February 17, fans can visit Brewers.com and register for the chance to be selected in an Opening Day opportunity to purchase up to four tickets to Opening Day and up to eight tickets to weekend games at Miller Park this season.
Tickets for individual Brewers home games can be purchased starting Saturday, March 1 at 9 a.m. at the Miller Park Box Office, at Brewers.com or by calling (414) 902-4000 (or 800-933-7890).
Demand-based pricing, which provides the best ticket value for fans, will return for all Brewers games this season. The pricing will be implemented in almost all of the Miller Park seating categories (excluding All-Inclusive Areas, Suites, and the Uecker Seats).
Beginning with the first day of individual game sales (set for Saturday, March 1), pricing for all 81 games is subject to change. Fans should be reminded that they will usually receive the lowest price when they purchase their seats early. Fans will be able to purchase tickets at the Ticket Office or by visiting Brewers.com, selecting the “Tickets” tab and then clicking on the Single Game Tickets link. For more information regarding demand-based pricing by specific games, fans can visit Brewers.com/tickets.
Fans will also be able to purchase parking passes in advance for all home dates at Miller Park including Opening Day. All parking prices remain the same from last season. Advance General Parking passes are available for all games and are priced at $9 with Preferred Parking at $14 per pass. Bus passes can also be obtained in advance for $35. For Opening Day, there is a purchase limit of two advance parking passes per ticket order. A complete listing of the parking prices is shown below.
In addition to the Miller Park Ticket Office, fans will be able to buy tickets and parking at Brewers.com or by phone at (414) 902-4000. The Miller Park Ticket Office will be open until 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 1. Normal Box Office hours are from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday through Friday (beginning Monday, March 3), 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturdays and 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Sundays.
