In case you haven’t been following along, next season’s All-Fan Giveaway reveal is underway!
On Monday, we revealed the 1980s Vintage Brewer bobblehead and the Brewers franchise leader in home runs, Ryan Braun. Yesterday, it was the Barking BobbleHank and Greg Vaughn Bobblehead. This morning, we unveiled the Bob Uecker Talking Alarm Clock and now we’re pleased to announced the addition of the first-ever Brewers Jimmy Nelson Bobblehead.
Previously, Nelson was recognized in bobble form by the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, but on Sunday, July 31, all fans in attendance at the Brewers vs. Pirates game will take home a bobble featuring the big-league hurler.
Make sure to follow us on our website at brewers.com/allfans and across all of our social media platforms this week–including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram– to be the first to see our 2016 All-Fan Giveaway schedule, plus have a chance to win tickets to those games.
If you don’t win, don’t worry. Individual tickets will go on sale in spring. However, if you’d like to secure your tickets for this game early, the Jimmy Nelson Bobblehead is included in select season ticket packages which are on sale now.
Be sure to check back in the coming months as we also unveil the image of the actual bobblehead when we get it!
Stay tuned to the blog, our social channels and brewers.com/allfans all week as we unveil more of our schedule!
After working at Miller Park the past eight seasons, seeing the Klement’s Famous Racing Sausages around the building doesn’t really phase me much anymore (though they never cease to make me smile).
However, for the folks at A.L. Schutzman Company, when the Famous Racing Sausages visited their offices in Waukesha today, this was not your average Wednesday afternoon.
Hot Dog, ready to make a speedy delivery to A.L. Schutzman!
That’s because president Gordon Liebl was the first winner in our FanTastic 40 promotion and the Famous Racing Sausages showed up to deliver his prize: Klement’s Sausage for a Year.
Gordon’s name in lights-all winners are recognized on the Clear Channel Outdoor digital billboards.
The A.L. Schutzman Company, known for quality products and service, has been in business since 1921. Their main product line is nuts, but they have branched out to add trail mixes, chocolate-covered nuts and more to their snack selection over the years, with special attention to packaging.
When we arrived just shortly after 2pm today, I thought it was only fitting that we were stationed near the giant bags of peanuts, another favorite ballpark snack, as employees gathered around to watch Gordon’s son, Griffin, accept the prize along with Linda Schenkelberg who works for the company in business development.
Griffin, Linda, and the Klement’s Famous Racing Sausages!
When I spoke with Griffin, the first question I asked him was, “What are you going to do with all that meat?”
He responded immediately with the perfect answer, “A lot more tailgating!”
Griffin also noted that the company has a lot of cookouts, so the sausage is sure to come in handy.
Gordon was entered into the promotion by renewing his four full season tickets, an account that the company has held since 1981.
To get in the game (or for rules and regulations), be sure to visit brewers.com/fan40.
You’ll also want to check back here as I hope to catch up with the rest of our winners as they redeem their prizes!
I hope everyone has been enjoying John’s posts from the Arizona Fall League. I certainly know that I have! By the looks of things, John hasn’t just been basking in the warm Arizona sun- he’s been hard at work producing some really good stories.
Back home in Milwaukee, we’ve been busy, too and today was a particularly exciting day…
It figures that John would leave for one week and, as he mentioned in a post from earlier today, end up missing the press conference where we announced Ron Roenicke as our new manager this afternoon.
Typically, John would be very involved in an event like this because, as Media Relations Manager, he interacts with the media on a daily basis. I know he’s sorry he couldn’t be here and I also know that he’s looking forward to working with Roenicke next season.
So how does a move like this impact the Consumer Marketing department? Well, for one thing, we wanted to make sure that we properly welcomed Ron to Milwaukee, so as soon as we heard the news, Jeff Harding, our Graphic Designer, got busy creating artwork for the Clear Channel Outdoor boards:
Thanks to our partners at CCO, we were able to get this up and running simultaneously with the start of the press conference. We hope you saw them up around town!
Like most of the front office staff, I personally attended the conference. I had no idea what to expect, but I came away from it very impressed by our new skipper and I also have a renewed excitement for the upcoming season- it will be here before you know it!
Brewers beatwriter Adam McCalvy has a couple of good stories about Ron up on his blog already, so I’m going to direct you over there to learn more about our new manager and, in particular, his running philosophy.
On behalf of John and Cait…Plus 9, I just want to echo what our outdoor message–and everyone else– is saying: Welcome to Milwaukee, Ron Roenicke! We’re excited to have you on board!
