Today is Memorial Day and here at Miller Park, we are honoring those who have served in several ways.
The USO was given 5,000 tickets for Military personnel and their families for today’s game and also played a role in shaping our pregame ceremonies.
For the pregame ceremonies, the USO provided today’s national anthem singer, Jennifer Schafer, who is a civilian; as well as ceremonial pitchers, representing each branch of military service.
The following groups also provided color guards for the game: United States Marine Corps Recruiting Station- Milwaukee; Navy Operational Support Center-Milwaukee; U.S. Army Recruiting Battalion- Milwaukee; and Wisconsin Air National Guard.
In addition, today, the Brewers are wearing special camouflage jerseys and caps.
Brewers Authentics will be selling the Memorial Day game-worn jerseys and caps at our Authentics Kiosk (located on the Field Level at Miller Park) and via the Brewers Charity Auction online. The game-worn memorabilia is available to be pre-ordered by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org and the auction is tentatively scheduled to start on Monday, June 6.
The Brewers Team Stores at Miller Park are also stocking the Memorial Day caps, jerseys, as well as a special camouflage t-shirt for a limited time.
Finally, the Brewers, along with Major League Baseball, will participate in the National Moment of Remembrance during the game at approximately 3:00 p.m. when we will pause to remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service of our country.
Thank you to those who have served and those who continue to serve our country.
Brewers Unveil New Alternate Logo; Navy Blue Jersey Will Be Worn Most Sundays at Home and on the Road
Today we announced that we will unveil a brand new alternate jersey and cap during this weekend’s Brewers On Deck festivities.
The new set will feature the legendary “ball & glove” logo updated with the team’s current navy color scheme and retro yellow. The uniform top will have the “Milwaukee” script displayed on the front with the updated logo on the sleeve. The Brewers will don the jerseys and caps on most Sundays, both at home and on the road.
The new uniform is produced by Majestic Athletic, the official MLB on-field uniform outfitter. It incorporates the team’s retro yellow color and “ball & glove” logo with the Brewers current navy color and “Milwaukee” script (across the chest).
The hat was designed by New Era and was inspired from last year’s Clubhouse Cap line. The new hat will feature a navy cap with a navy bill and the alternate “ball & glove” logo.
The new uniform jersey and cap are being added to the rotation that includes the team’s home white, road gray, home blue and retro uniforms. It will replace the team’s road navy jersey as well as the team’s gold top.
Fans can purchase the new alternate uniform at Brewers On Deck beginning this Sunday, or at the Brewers Team Store by Majestic beginning on Monday, February 1. In addition, fans can order the new kit online at brewers.com.

This Memorial Day make plans to bring your picnic to our park as the Brewers take on the Twins at 1:10pm.
We’ll be celebrating Military Day and the Brewers and Twins will be wearing specially designed caps and jerseys featuring an authentic military digital camouflage design licensed from the United States Marine Corps.
MLB will also conduct a moment of silence prior to all games throughout Memorial Day weekend to honor members of the military who lost their lives serving their country. On Memorial Day itself, MLB will join the National Moment of Remembrance, an initiative the league has participated in since 1997, where all games will stop for a moment at 3:00 pm local time.
The Memorial Day effort is part of MLB’s ongoing recognition of veterans, active military, and military families. MLB has committed $23 million to Welcome Back Veterans since its inception in 2008.
Welcome Back Veterans, an initiative of Major League Baseball Charities and the Robert R. McCormick Foundation, provides grants to university hospitals throughout the country that provide post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI) treatment to veterans and their families in a public/private partnership. Currently, Welcome Back Veterans is funding programs at Weill Cornell in New York City, The University of Michigan, Rush University Medical Center, Duke University, Emory University, UCLA and the Boston Red Sox’ Home Base Program at Mass General Hospital in Boston. These institutions are developing new programs and strategies to improve the quality, quantity and access to PTSD and TBI treatment for veterans, particularly those returning from duty in Iraq and Afghanistan.
For Monday’s game, the Brewers have also donated thousands of tickets to the USO and the Veteran’s Administration that they have distributed to veterans, active military members and their families. The pregame presentation will also feature military honor guards from a number of branches, multiple simultaneous first pitches by active military reservists and other military family members, and the national anthem will be performed by SSG Korin Saal.
Finally, you can pick up your own Brewers Memorial Day fitted cap ($45), jersey ($220), or t-shirt ($35), each featuring a special Desert Camo design. Stop by the Brewers Team Stores at Miller Park or shop online at brewers.com to purchase yours.
MLB will donate 100% of its net proceeds from sales of the caps and jerseys to Welcome Back Veterans as part of its contribution to the program.
