The fourth annual “Brewers Mini-Marathon and 10K, Presented by Sendik’s” is set for Saturday, September 26, 2015. Registration is now available online at brewersmini.com.
Last year a combined 7,200 runners, representing 39 states and 6 countries, participated in the mini-marathon (13.1 miles) and the 10K race (6.214 miles). The races both begin and end at beautiful Miller Park with unique courses that take participants past Milwaukee landmarks including the Miller Valley, Mitchell Park Conservatory (The Domes) and the opportunity to run inside Miller Park on the field warning track.
All participants will receive a free Brewers ticket voucher good for select games at Miller Park in April or May of 2016, a participant medal and a “tech” shirt. A post-race party at Miller Park with live music will also take place. Prizes for the top finishers will be awarded.
Great course support will be provided with aid stations featuring water and Gatorade and misting stations along the way. Refreshing snacks and water will be provided by Sendik’s at the finish line. Spectators will have plenty of free parking at Miller Park and will have the opportunity to watch racers run through Miller Park while being shown on the scoreboard.
During the first three years of the Brewers Mini-Marathon and 10K, race participants have helped to raise over $190,000 with all fundraising proceeds benefiting the MACC Fund (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer, Inc.) and childhood cancer research in Wisconsin. Fundraising for the MACC Fund is supported by the Brewers Community Foundation and participants can create their own fundraising page at brewersmini.com and submit online donations. Individual fundraisers will have the chance to get their name entered in a raffle for great prizes. The top three fundraising groups will win a special prize.
The cost for the Mini-Marathon and 10K, respectively, is $65/$45 for those registering by April 30, $75/$55 for those registering between May 1 – July 31, $85/$65 for those registering between August 1 – September 20 and $100/$80 for those registering on packet pick-up day (if space is available). Race packets can be picked up at Miller Park on Thursday and Friday, September 24 and 25, 2015.

Whether you’re participating in the race, or you’ve thought about it, but don’t have the chance or the stamina this year, you can still participate in another race–the race to wipe out childhood cancer and related blood disorders—one child at a time as the fundraising efforts for the event benefit the MACC Fund (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer).
Over the past two years, the Brewers Mini + 10K has raised over $145,000 for the MACC Fund by participants in this event. With your help, we can push that number even higher.
And because incentives are helpful not only in racing, but also in fundraising, new for 2014, Brewers Enterprises has a great new one to keep you motivated:
Raise a minimum of $40 and receive a limited edition bobble head of Hank the Ballpark Pup sporting his Brewers Mini-Marathon + 10K gear! Hank is one of the newest and most beloved members of the Brewers team after being found and adopted at Spring Training this year.
Hank first appeared at camp on February 17, the day of the first workout for pitchers and catchers. The Brewers have worked closely with the Arizona and Wisconsin Humane Societies since that first day, and their staff provided counsel on how best to care for Hank’s basic needs as he adjusted to his new surroundings. Hank’s circle of caregivers in Phoenix worked tirelessly to ensure that he had the best care possible until his “forever home” was determined.
Hank made frequent appearances at Spring Training games in a concourse booth, where fans lined up for an opportunity to have their photo taken with Hank in exchange for a voluntary donation to the Humane Society. Through these and other opportunities, Hank has already helped raise thousands of dollars to support the cause.
Hank arrived in Milwaukee in mid-March on a Southwest Airlines charter flight and, although he has been adopted by a staff member at the Club, he has made several appearances at Miller Park and other events. Hank merchandise (sales from which benefit the Wisconsin Humane Society) continues to fly off the shelves and tickets for a Wisconsin Humane Society Day featuring a BobbleHank giveaway are virtually sold out.
That’s one more reason why you’ll want to sign up for the race and help fundraise for this important cause. But you’ll have to act fast. These Hank bobbleheads are limited and available to only the first 2,750 race participants who raise $40 or more. Only one bobble head per race participant, given for raising/donating a minimum of $40. All funds raised benefit the MACC Fund.
Individual fundraisers will also have the chance to get their name entered in a raffle for great prizes. The top three individuals or groups will win a special prize.
Prizes include everything from autographed baseballs and a game-used bat to a trip down Bernie’s slide and a party at Helfaer Field. For a full list of prizes, click here.
