#BrewersSocial T-Shirt Revealed!

In case you missed it, yesterday we announced the results of the 2014 #BrewersMVT contest and you chose Carlos Gomez as the team’s Most Valuable Tweeter!

Now, you have the chance to join Carlos and the rest of the Brewers on Social Media Night at Miller Park on Monday, September 8 as the Crew takes on the Marlins. Your Social Media Night ticket package includes the opportunity to interact with Carlos Gomez during the pregame “Tweet Up” at Helfaer Field; a one-of-a-kind Social Media Night T-Shirt designed with input from Carlos; and a Loge Outfield Box ticket… all for just $25!

At the pregame Tweet Up, we’ll present Carlos with a special #BrewersMVT Trophy and he’ll be interviewed on-field at Helfaer by our guest host for the evening, Brewers Radio Broadcaster, Joe Block. Fans can submit questions ahead of time using #BrewersSocial.

There, you’ll also pick up THIS unique Social Media Night T-Shirt that we worked with Carlos to design:

That’s right, the #BrewersSocial t-shirt features the 2014 #BrewersTeamSelfie (taken by Carlos Gomez), along with Carlos’ twitter handle and number on the back, honoring him as the #BrewersMVT.

Speaking of selfies, at the event, you’ll also have the chance to take selfies with Bernie Brewer and the FOX Sports Wisconsin Girls and win a variety of prizes.

But you’ll have to hurry–tickets are limited and are only available through next Monday, September 1, or while supplies last at brewers.com/socialmedianight.

Brewers Team Photo Day Leads to #BrewersTeamSelfie

Today was Brewers Team Photo Day at Miller Park.

Brewers Photo Day

The risers were set up in the infield early this afternoon and Brewers Team Photographer Scott Paulus and his staff were on hand to take the official 2014 photo.

Now, I don’t know about you, but I was never a big fan of “picture day” back in school.

Now imagine that times 100, factoring in getting together all of the players–in uniform–along with coaches and staff….without the added bonus of a free comb. You can only hope everyone is on time and hope that nobody blinks.

Add in guys making funny faces, bunny ears and the lot….

…and Carlos Gomez whipping out his cell phone to take a selfie in the middle of it:

and it seems like we could all be in for a long day.

However, Scott’s the ultimate professional and he’s been doing this for many, many years now. He know what he needs to do to get the guys in, out, and looking great each time.

But what happened today when Scott handed over his camera to Carlos Gomez after the official photo was taken?

#BrewersTeamSelfie, that’s what.

Brewers Team Selfie

Here’s what that looked like from my point of view, as it was happening:

And Carlos kept clicking away. He cut off some guys in this one, but it’s too good not to share.

Ladies and gentlemen, your 2014 Milwaukee Brewers!

I may be slightly biased, but I think this photo beats Ellen’s any day.
