Brewers Holiday 4-Packs: A Christmas Story

As I mentioned earlier today, my boss, Kathy, and I are in New York this week on business.

However, last night we managed to sneak in some entertainment as we attended a showing of A Christmas Story, The Musical at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on Broadway, thanks to friends of ours connected with the show.

Up until this week, I was not aware that one of my all-time favorite Christmas movies (or even movies in general for that matter), had been made into a musical. Once I heard that, I couldn’t wait to see the show! And–bonus!–I also learned that Dan Lauria, star of the critically acclaimed Broadway show, Lombardi, and of television’s Wonder Years fame is currently starring in this new hit holiday musical in the role of Jean Shepherd, the narrator.

Directed by Tony®-winner John Rando, and choreographed by Warren Carlyle, this new Broadway musical is based on the classic 1983 movie, which itself was based on stories by legendary radio humorist Jean Shepherd. The original music (songs both funny and heartfelt by Benj Pasek & Justin Paul), the choreography, and the suburb acting make A  Christmas Story, the Musical a delightful depiction of Ralphie Parker’s quest for the ultimate Christmas gift: An Official Red Ryder Carbine-Action 200-shot Range Model Air Rifle (with a compass in the stock and a thing that tells time). The show was positively amazing! It’s running on a limited engagement now through December 30, so if you make it out to New York, I highly recommend you put this show on your t0-do list!

Speaking of lists….us seeing this show is all well and good, but why am I writing about it on the blog you ask? What does A Christmas Story, the Musical, other than being awesome, have to do with the Brewers?

Well, when you work in marketing, you never really can turn it off and I got to thinking that Ralphie’s story about the ultimate Christmas gift ties into Brewers Holiday 4-Packs, a gift right up there with the Red Ryder BB gun. So here you go:

Cait’s Reasons Why Brewers Holiday 4-Packs Should Be On Your List This Season (based on A Christmas Story):

  1. Brewers Holiday 4-Packs are a safe bet. They’re sure to be a hit with everyone, they’re a lot more fun than tinker toys, and there’s no danger of shooting your eye out!
  2. Brewers Holiday 4-Packs are less fra-gee-lay than a leg lamp!
  3. Aunt Clara could obviously use a little help in the gift department. Don’t risk getting a pink bunny suit. Save her the time and tell her you want a Brewers Holiday 4-Pack this year!
  4. Finally, try and find a better gift for the Brewers fans on your list than a Brewers Holiday 4-Pack…I triple dog dare you!

Hope you enjoyed this fun little post–just a friendly reminder that Brewers Holiday 4-Packs are on sale now at brewers.com/4packs and, like A Christmas Story, the Musical, it’s a limited engagement! Race to get yours by December 19.
