AllFans-Recap_Main

In case you missed it, in 2015, we have slated a team-record 20 All-Fan Giveaway dates throughout the season.

There are 10 Sundays when every fan in attendance will receive a bobblehead featuring different Brewers personnel, two Sundays when all fans in attendance will receive Brewers gnomes for the first time ever, seven T-Shirt Friday dates (and you get to help choose the designs!) and one date where you will help determine the giveaway.

“Through surveys and various feedback forums, we know that our ‘All Fan Giveaways’ are one of the most popular added values that we offer at Miller Park,” said Brewers Chief Operating Officer Rick Schlesinger. “With that in mind, we are excited to be presenting a team-record 20 of these dates in 2015, which include not only Bobbleheads and t-shirts, but also the new Gnome items.”

In case you missed it, the #20in15 All-Fan Giveaways lineup is as follows:

Sunday, April 12: Rob Deer Bobblehead

The All Fan Giveaways start with the Rob Deer Bobblehead presented by Toyota on April 12 when the Brewers host the Pittsburgh Pirates at 1:10 p.m. This is the first Bobblehead for the former Brewers great, who spent five seasons with the Club and hit 137 home runs, while racking up 385 RBI.

Sunday, April 26: Wily Peralta Bobblehead

All fans in attendance for the April 26, 1:10 p.m. game against the St. Louis Cardinals will receive a Wily Peralta Bobblehead, presented by U.S. Cellular. Sunday, May 31: Commissioner Allan H. “Bud” Selig Bobblehead

To commemorate his upcoming retirement, Commissioner Bud Selig will be recognized with a Bobblehead on May 31 when Milwaukee takes on the Arizona Diamondbacks at 1:10 p.m.  Earlier this year, the team announced that they will retire uniform number one in 2015, in honor of Selig for his commitment to keep Major League Baseball in Milwaukee.

One Extremely Limited Edition Lohse Bobblehead

This Sunday, May 11, the Brewers take on the New York Yankees at 1:10pm and all-fans in attendance will receive our second all-fan giveaway of the season: the Kyle Lohse bobblehead, presented by Toyota.

MB-14-Lohse-Bobble-social

The bobblehead is posed in his windup and features Lohse’s signature goatee…but not his signature tattoo, as he and his teammates were quick to point out.

Kyle Lohse Tattoo

Kyle Lohse has a large, distinctive tattoo that runs the length of right forearm up to his elbow,  the site of a scar he has from forearm surgery he had in 2010

Kyle told me that the feathered wing represents “a prayer for power and health,” while the baseball peeling back to reveal a globe underneath it is to remind him “that there is more to life than baseball.”

And so, while none of the Brewers bobbleheads feature any tattoos (for numerous reasons, as I am sure you can understand), this felt like a special case.

So, I enlisted the help of our extremely talented Senior Graphic Designer, Jeff Harding.

“So, ah, Jeff…how hard do you think it would be to draw a tattoo on a bobblehead?” I asked him casually.

“Pretty difficult,” he said. And, knowing me very well after working together for over six years, he followed that up with a suspicious look and a, “Why…what are you thinking?”

And so I explained.

“I’d need a photo of the tattoo,” he countered.

I showed him the photo I had already taken.

Jeff shook his head in defeat. “Okay, but no promises,” he warned.

But boy, did he deliver:

Lohse Bobble Tattoo

When I presented Kyle with the bobble today, I think he was pretty stoked:

Kyle Lohse and Bobble Tattoo

He showed it to a couple of  the other guys who thought it was a sticker. Nope. That’s ink, mirroring Kyle’s.

Kyle Lohse and Bobblehead Tattoo

And sorry fans, that’s a special 1/1 limited edition bobble. All of the others to be given away this Sunday feature Kyle in his home white jersey.

By the way, for those of you scoring at home: This is the first bobblehead of Kyle’s career. Yes, the World Series Champion who was drafted in 1996,  made his Major League debut in 2001, and has played in six Major League organizations has never before been immortalized in bobble form.

“I guess I finally made it,” he told me with a smile.

Kyle Lohse Bobblehead Revealed

As we get images of the bobbles, we’ll unveil them here and across our social media channels.

So far, we’ve revealed the first bobblehead of the season, the Carlos Gomez Gold Glove bobblehead on Sunday, April 27 vs. the Chicago Cubs.

Now, we’ve got the second bobblehead here for you–the Kyle Lohse bobblehead, presented by Toyota, on Sunday, May 11 vs. the New York Yankees.

MB-14-Lohse-Bobble-social

The bobblehead is posed in his windup and features Lohse’s signature goatee.

I caught up with Kyle to get his thoughts on the bobblehead. “It looks pretty cool,” he said…  and then he informed me that he’s never had a bobblehead before. I was incredulous. This is a World Series Champion who was drafted in 1996,  made his Major League debut in 2001, has played in six Major League organizations…and he’s never been immortalized in bobble form?!?

“I guess I finally made it,” he said with a smile.

Individual tickets  are on sale now and the May 11 game is sure to be a hot ticket. Not only is it Kyle Lohse Bobblehead Day, but it is also Mother’s Day, plus we’re playing the Yankees and it’s Brewers fans last chance to see Derek Jeter play at Miller Park before he retires.
