Tonight the University of Wisconsin men’s basketball team was honored on the field prior to the Milwaukee Brewers vs. New York Yankees game at Miller Park.
The Badgers posted a 30-8 record (.789) during the 2013-14 season and advanced to the Final Four in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2000. The Final Four appearance marked the school’s third-ever trip to the Final Four (won national championship in 1941 and reached semi-finals in 2000). Overall, Wisconsin won 30 games for the third time in school history.
Here’s a little glimpse of their afternoon.
4:30 p.m. The Badgers Men’s Basketball team arrives by bus at Miller Park. The UW-Badgers Marching Band begins playing in front of Miller Park.
4:45 p.m. Basketball team is escorted to the field to view batting practice:
6:00 p.m. The team gathers on the field for pregame festivities
6:55 p.m. The UW Marching Band plays the national anthem, a Badgers basketball highlight reel is played, the team is introduced
7:00 p.m. Entire Badgers team throws simultaneous ceremonial first pitches to the Brewers
