RBI Athlete of the Month: Milwaukee Brewers 18U Traveling Team
Reviving Baseball in the Inner Cities, or the RBI Program, is a MLB youth baseball initiative and partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs. The RBI program was developed by former scout and Major Leaguer John Young in Los Angeles in 1989 to provide youth ages 9 to 17 the opportunity to learn and enjoy the game of baseball. Each month, we honor RBI student athletes on the diamond that portray dedication to academics, community involvement, leadership, reliability and monthly performance.
This month’s honoree is actually the entire Milwaukee Brewers 18U Traveling Team.
This year, the RBI Milwaukee Brewers earned the #1 Playoff seed by making their first-ever appearance at the RBI World Series earlier this month in Cincinnati. The team finished with a record of 35-8-1, winning three summer tournaments.
The team includes: Jonathan Pinales, Savier Pinales, Maxwell Montgomery, Jon Cabab, Josiah Roundtree, Sean Quiles, Antonio Valadez, Keaton Rock, Kiante Mack, Cameron Lefore, Fernando Rodriquez, Mario Hunter, Tyrese Mitchell, Garrett Erfourth, Amir Moton-Thompson as well as Manager Miguel green and Assistants Ricardo Munoz, David Frazier and Javier Pinales.
Congratulations to the RBI Milwaukee Brewers 18U Traveling Team on a fantastic season!
