BREWERS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION COMPLETES DONATION TO RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE CHARITIES EASTERN WISCONSIN
Today, Brewers Community Foundation, along with Bullpen catcher Marcus Hanel and his wife, Jill, visited Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) to donate 20 custom-made mirrors for the various sleeping rooms throughout the house. The contribution concludes a commitment to outfit all 77 of the rooms with the colorful, custom model mirrors which feature encouraging phrases such as “You are Beautiful,” “Strength,” “Hope,” “Cherish Family,” “Play Games,” “Dream Big” and “Support.”
They presented the final mirrors to RMHC and helped to install them in several rooms on the premises. In addition, to the donation, Brewers Wives prepared lunch for the families and took a tour of the house.
Since 1984, the Ronald McDonald House in Milwaukee has helped provide housing for families whose children are receiving medical care at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin or other area hospitals. The house has provided over 36,000 stays, with families coming from 569 Wisconsin communities, all 50 states and many countries around the world. Brewers Community Foundation has supported the house in a variety of ways throughout the years. This includes Brewers Wives meal deliveries, funding of the play structure, building the peace garden and the art therapy room.
