Not-so-Arctic Tailgate a Success

Individual game tickets for the 2016 season are on sale today, as of 9am!

Fans have been camping out and lining up since noon on Thursday for their first crack at tickets, with many hoping to score a seat for Opening Day on Monday, April 4. That’s because for those who came out to the Box Office in person, we had a very limited number of tickets available for the event and fans in line were limited to a maximum of four tickets for Opening Day, based on availability.

Other than Opening Day tickets, many fans were out there because this event has become a yearly tradition with some fun perks.

The Klement’s Famous Racing SausagesTM, Bernie Brewer and Brewers alumni players were on hand this morning to greet fans and the first 2,000 fans in line received a hot dog and soda, compliments of Klement’s, Pepsi and Sportservice, as well as an Arctic Tailgate T-Shirt. Grebe’s Bakery also supplied donuts for hungry fans.

This year’s event did not really live up to its name as temperatures were about 37 degrees when tickets went on sale, with a high expected to reach the 50s in Milwaukee today the last time I checked (I’m currently in Arizona where it is 63 degrees at 10am).

I’m sure no one is complaining about that, however! With the springlike weather and all of the photos and videos coming out of Arizona, it certainly feels like Opening Day will be here soon and it will. In just 37 days, in fact!

For those of you who didn’t come out to today’s event, don’t worry–you can still get in on the action.

Tickets for individual Brewers home games are also available now at Brewers.com or by calling (414) 902-4000 (or 800-933-7890).

Fans are also able to purchase parking passes in advance for all home dates at Miller Park including Opening Day. Advance General Parking passes are available for all games.  A complete listing of the parking prices is shown below.

The Miller Park Ticket Office will be open until 5 p.m. today. Beginning February 28, normal Box Office hours are from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday through Friday), 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturdays and 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Sundays (with extended hours on game days).

Well, it’s off to this morning’s practice for me–have fun picking out your games!

Special thanks to New Media Coordinator Aaron Oberley for covering this event!
