Fans Have a Ball at the Brewers Bowl-A-Thon
Tonight, fans joined Matt Garza and his fellow teammates for the Brewers Bowl-A-Thon, a unique opportunity to pal around on the pins with Brewers players, all while helping raise money for the Sojourner Family Peace Center, a safe haven for abused women and children.
The event took place at JB’s on 41 and in addition to Matt Garza, the host of the event, among those in attendance were: Scooter Gennett, Shane Peterson, Hernan Perez, Khris Davis, Adam Lind, Kyle Lohse, Mike Fiers, Jimmy Nelson, Taylor Jungmann, Tyler Cravy, Jeremy Jeffress, Corey Knebel and Michael Blazek.
Tyler Cravy had the high score among the Brewers players and Kyle Lohse had the lowest score.
In addition, there were many items included in a silent auction to raise additional money for the Sojourner Family Peace Center, including a special batting practice experience, a Ryan Braun autographed jersey, a Klement’s Famous Racing Sausage package, a Bernie’s Slide Experience and more.
The goal of the Sojourner Family Peace Center is to ensure the safety of victims of domestic violence and provide a pathway out of violence for victims and abusers, by making positive and lasting changes. The Center is the largest nonprofit provider of domestic violence prevention and intervention in Wisconsin, serving over 9,500 clients each year.
