On the heels of the U.S. Women’s National Team’s World Cup victory, we’re pretty pumped up for tomorrow’s soccer match at Miller Park.

Each of the participants expressed how excited they are to be playing the match at Miller Park–and that they’ve already been impressed by the fan support in Wisconsin as many showed up for this morning’s practices.

“I think the atmosphere will be good. I think there is going to be at least 25,000 here, which is a great turnout. We all know how enthusiastic American fans are,” said Colback.

Newcastle Coach McClaren said,  “It’s great! It was strange because they are in the Newcastle shirts and they have American accents, so that’s a little unusual. Also as Jack was saying, tomorrow’s game with 25-30,000 people will be a great atmosphere against a very good team. Again I reiterate that Milwaukee, we’ve only been here a day but it’s very nice. The weather is good; far better than back home so we will enjoy the preparation and then the game.”

Atlas Coach Matosas echoed Coach McClaren’s sentiment saying, “Milwaukee is beautiful. I don’t know Milwaukee, but Milwaukee is really beautiful. Beautiful city.”

Following the press conference, the media also had the chance to take the field for a match.
