Carlos Gomez and LULAC Provide Scholarship Funds

Since 1975, League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) councils have been providing scholarships to Hispanic students in the Milwaukee community. LULAC offers scholarships for high school seniors, undergraduate and graduate college students.

Last year, Brewers outfielder Carlos Gomez partnered with LULAC to create the Carlos Gomez Hispanic Scholarship Fund to provide more scholarships to Hispanic students who are interested in attending college in Wisconsin.

Today, Carlos and Dr. Arturo Martinez, LULAC State Director, Member Council 333, were on hand to present a $4,000 check to Christine McGee, Executive Director of the Milwaukee Area Technical College Foundation. The foundation will match that amount to provide scholarships for Hispanic students who will be attending MATC this fall.

Thanks to @c_gomez27, LULAC & the MATC Foundation for supporting education.
