Your 2015 Miller Park Sneak Preview
Earlier this offseason, we announced plans for several new additions to Miller Park, including the arrival of local food favorites Smoke Shack and Holey Moley. And today, we got to take a tour of these new ballpark additions and taste-test some of the new ballpark fare along the way. Ready? Here we go.
Caution: This will make your stomach growl….
1) Smoke Shack – a slow-smoked barbeque restaurant – will be located on Miller Park’s Plaza Pavilion, outdoors, behind section 109, along the west side of the stadium.
A slow-smoked barbeque restaurant, Smoke Shack will bring a selection of their menu to Miller Park, offering fans a variety of regional sauces to accompany their dry-rubbed barbeque that’s smoked to perfection. Smoke Shack will offer four options from their menu including three “sammiches” and an appetizer-style dish. The menu will also offer three sides to accompany the main selections. Menu items include Kansas City BBQ eggrolls, Smoked Chicken sammich, Carolina Pulled Pork sammich, BBQ Seitan sammich, and more. One featured item of note: The Ham-Dinger, a Holey-Moley glazed yeast doughnut stuffed with house smoked Berkshire ham.
For point of reference, Smoke Shack will be located next to AJ Bombers, which was new to Miller Park last season. That space has been reconfigured a bit to adjust for Smoke Shack’s arrival:
AJ Bombers will continue to serve up burgers, egg rolls, tater tots, custard, shakes and concrete concoctions. Look for stadium-exclusive burger & concrete concoction specials throughout the season!
Here’s a peek at their concrete custard specials by series for the month of April:
2) Holey Moley – Milwaukee’s only craft doughnut shop – will be located along the first base side of the Field Level concourse, just behind Section 111, near the Brewers Authentics Kiosk.
Doughnuts are made fresh daily along with freshly brewed coffee beverages – both hot and cold.
Exclusive to the stadium are their NEW Doughnut + Custard Sandwiches, which sell for just $6. Yes, doughtnuts AND custard. They went there. I tried the Peanut Butter Jelly Time and it was delish.
3) Other Featured Fare
Much ado has already been made about some of our other new ballpark concessions, including the Inside the Park Nachos aka “nachos on a stick,” the Down Wisconsin Avenue Brat and the Bratchos.
Take a look at these and other tasty treats being served up by Delaware North at the stadium this season:
4) Season Seat Holder Headquarters
Located on the Field Level concourse along the first-base side, the Season Seat Holder Headquarters is a new 350-square-foot meeting area. Conveniently located for Season Seat Holders to meet their account executives face to face, the space will also serve as a distribution point for gifts and other items. The headquarters area will provide opportunities for all fans to inquire about the outstanding benefits involved in being a Brewers Season Seat Holder.
5) Hank’s Hangout
New for 2015 is a kiosk called “Hank’s Hangout,” located down the right-field line. This kiosk offers the best supply of merchandise featuring everyone’s favorite Ballpark Pup….for humans and pets alike! And the best part is that purchases of Hank merchandise continue to benefit the Wisconsin Humane Society.
Additional upgrades at Miller Park include a Loge Level Ticket and Guest Relations Kiosk, enhancements to the JCI Club Patio, and increased Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the ballpark. These projects are in addition to the Selig Experience, which was announced in December and is slated to open to the public on Friday, May 29.
“Each year we look to bring new amenities to Miller Park to enhance the overall ballpark experience,” said Brewers Chief Operating Officer Rick Schlesinger. “We are excited to introduce new and unique dining options this year, along with a designated headquarters for season seat holders, improved connectivity and additional attractions for our fans. Combining these additions with the new Selig Experience, we are confident that the fan experience at Miller Park will continue to be among the best in all of sports.”
Uihlein-Wilson Architects designed the Season Seat Holders Headquarters and Loge Level Ticket and Guest Relations Kiosk. Design work for Smoke Shack and Holey Moley was handled by Flux Design.
So, yes, there’s lots to look forward to at Miller Park this season besides the fun and excitement of Brewers Baseball. We’ll #SeeUApril6….come hungry.
