MLB Launches 7th Annual Honorary Bat Girl Contest
Is someone in your life Going to Bat against breast cancer? Nominate them for Honorary Bat Girl.
MLB launched the 7th annual Honorary Bat Girl Contest last Monday, with the goal of increasing breast cancer awareness while raising funds to support breast cancer research. In seeking a cure for this all-too-pervasive disease, MLB stands with the countless women, men and families affected each year.
From now until Thursday, April 16, all men and women 18 and older are encouraged to submit stories about how they, or someone they know, are “Going to Bat Against Breast Cancer” and why they would like to be an “Honorary Bat Girl” for their favorite MLB Club at HonoraryBatGirl.com.
One winner from each Club will be selected to receive on-field recognition, 2 tickets to the game on Mother’s Day, a Louisville Slugger Pink Bat engraved with the winner’s name and an invitation to attend batting practice and/or a meet and greet with players.
