Milwaukee Public Library Super Readers Recognized at Miller Park
We, along with the Milwaukee Public Library, are proud to honor some of the 2014 Super Readers!
These youngsters visited their Milwaukee Public Library, read during the summer, and reached the highest level of the Super Reader Program. These lucky super readers were selected from the nearly 20,000 children that made reading a part of their summer vacation:
Demetrius Goode (Atkinson Library); Nora Fitak (Bay View Library); Christian Coleman (Capitol Library); XZavier Bellamy (Center Street Library); Kennedy Gonzalez (East Library); Alex Gramajo (Forest Home Library); Samuel Bryan (Martin Luther King Library); Shakhai Cole-Waheed (Mill Road Library); Emma Balistreri (Tippecanoe Library); Janehya Luttrell (Villard Avenue Library); Aiden Rightmyre (Washington Park Library); and Molly Anders (Zablocki Library).
We’d also like to thank Milwaukee Brewers infielder Rickie Weeks for his generous support of the Super Reader Program.
As a child of two retired librarians, I can tell you that the best back-to-school supply is a library card. And it’s free. Visit your Milwaukee Public Library where people can read, learn and connect.
Congrats again, Super Readers–keep it up!
