Brewers Pay Visit to Wisconsin Humane Society; Participate in PAL Graduation
This afternoon, Brandon and Melissa Kintzler, Tom Gorzelanny (and his son Gavin), Ed Sedar, the Klement’s Famous Racing Sausages, and Hank the Ballpark Pup participated in the Wisconsin Humane Society PAL Graduation.
PAL stands for People and Animals Learning and is a two-week summer camp for Milwaukee children, ages 10-13. The kids are paired up to train a shelter dogs over the course of the camp and take part in other confidence-building and violence prevention activities. Since the program began in 1993, there have been over 750 graduates from the program. (For more information, click here.)
At today’s graduation, the kids demonstrated their new dog-handling skills and received their diplomas.
Here are a few fun photos from the day:
Following the graduation, the Brewers contingent was given a behind-the-scenes tour of the facility by Anne Reed, President & CEO of the Wisconsin Humane Society. Here are a few more photos from that tour, including the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center:
Congratulations once again to the PAL graduates and thank you to the Wisconsin Humane Society for all of the good you do in the community!
