Congrats to All-Star Teacher, Eric Vander Loop!

Earlier this week, Major League Baseball, Target and PEOPLE  announced the 30 winners (one for each MLB team) in the “Target Presents PEOPLE All-Star Teachers” campaign, which celebrates remarkable current and retired teachers who make an impact on the lives of their students and communities.

Eric Vander Loop was selected by you to represent the Milwaukee Brewers  in All-Star Week activities. He’ll be recognized during the pre-game ceremony of the 2014 MLB All-Star Game — Tuesday, July 15 with pre-game ceremonies beginning at  6:30 p.m. CT on FOX from Target Field in Minneapolis.

Today, we had Eric out to the ballpark, where he was recognized in a pregame ceremony.

Eric and his wife, Karen both teach at Woodland School in Appleton, Wisconsin. Of the 30 All-Star Teachers, Eric’s story was chosen to be featured in PEOPLE Magazine. You can read it here.

Congratulations, Eric and thank you for all of the good you do in the classroom and the community! We are proud to have you represent us in Minnesota and hope to catch up with you to hear about the experience!
