Aramis Ramirez Maintains Lead Among N.L. Third Basemen in Latest All-Star Vote Totals; #VOTEBREWERS through Thursday!

In the sixth and final All-Star update before the MLB All-Star rosters are announced on Sunday, Aramis Ramirez (1,790,777 votes) maintains his first place lead among National League third basemen, while outfielder Carlos Gomez (3,169,748) and first baseman Mark Reynolds (1,430,395) have moved into second place at their respective positions. Ramirez leads the Mets’ David Wright by 235,060 votes and Gomez trails Andrew McCutchen of the Pirates by just 4,062 votes for the overall lead among NL outfielders.

Catcher Jonathan Lucroy, currently second among NL catchers, has narrowed the gap behind St. Louis’ Yadier Molina. With 2,636,640 votes, Lucroy now trails Molina by 464,299 votes. Ryan Braun (2,509,770) remains fifth among NL outfielders and Khris Davis has moved up four spots to seventh among outfielders with 1,457,407 votes.

Around the infield, Jean Segura (1,729,054) ranks second at shortstop, trailing Colorado’s Troy Tulowitzki, and Rickie Weeks is fourth at second base with 1,127,907 votes.

Fans can vote for the Major League All-Stars online at Brewers.com through Thursday, July 3 at 10:59pm CT.

The 2014 American League and National League All-Star teams will be unveiled on the “Taco Bell™All-Star Selection Show” on ESPN at 6 p.m. CT on Sunday, July 6. Immediately following the announcement of the AL and NL All-Star rosters, fans will begin voting to select the final player for each League’s 34-man roster via the 2014 All-Star Game MLB.com Final Vote Sponsored by Experian.  Fans will cast their votes from a list of five players from each League over the balloting period.
