Happy 110th, Harley-Davidson!
This weekend, Milwaukee is gearing up for one heck of a party in celebration of Harley-Davidson’s 110th Anniversary.
Tens of thousands of riders from across the globe will congregate for four memorable days full of bikes, music, and parties.
Harley-Davidson has long been a great partner of ours (note the H-D Deck & Crew H-D ticket package), and in 2008 for the 105th Anniversary Celebration, we were happy to host several events on the Miller Park grounds.
This year, the Crew is in town to take on the Angels (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) and the Pirates (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday), so there won’t be any concerts held here, but we’re still happy to be a part of the celebration–welcoming any riders who can make the time to take in a game while they are in town; hosting the Deeley Harley Canada Rally today; and also, as the starting point for a very important event on Saturday morning.
On Saturday, over 6,000 Harley-Davidson riders will make their way to Miller Park to take part in a massive parade which begins at 10am and goes “all the way down Wisconsin Avenue” as Bob Uecker would say, eventually ending at the Summerfest Grounds. Only riders with parade passes are allowed to take part in this event and meet at Miller Park, but everyone else is invited to line the streets along the route. For more information, including a route map, click here. The official Anniversary site also has complete details on all of the events going on around the city. [Note: There is also a ride to the game on Monday from House of Harley. For more information on that, click here.]
We’re looking forward to seeing all of the bikes out here on Saturday morning, and hopefully many riders and visitors making their way to Miller Park to check out a game or two in between Anniversary events.
