Dining in the Johnson Controls Stadium Club
During each homestand, we will be meeting with John DiMartini, Executive Chef at Delaware North Sportservice/Miller Park to sample some of the latest and greatest Miller Park fare and review it here, for you.
This week, Chef John treated us to a some of the newest items in the Johnson Controls Stadium Club. When it comes to elegant dining with some of the best seats in the house, there is not anything quite like Johnson Controls Stadium Club at Miller Park. In addition to providing an incredible experience on game days, the Johnson Controls Stadium Club is also a premier location available for holiday parties, wedding receptions or your next function on a non-game day!

Located on the PNC Club Level in the left-field corner, the private Johnson Controls Stadium Club is an upscale dining experience, offering a panoramic view of the ballpark. The 200-seat, multi-tiered dining room offers a unique view of the action on the field, a buffet featuring Chef John’s world-class cuisine, and an outdoor patio area for fans to enjoy the Miller Park atmosphere.
The Johnson Controls Stadium Club opens when the Miller Park gates open and the bar stops serving one hour after the game. It is a great place to celebrate a special occasion before the game, meet with clients or even for a different take on “date night.”
Guests can choose to partake in an elegant buffet, order off a menu in the bar/lounge area, dine on the patio, or simply have drinks at the bar.
The buffet changes nightly, featuring a variety of starters,salads, two butcher block meats and several chef stations. The price for the buffet on day games/Sunday Brunch is $28. Evening games is $32. Drinks and desserts are offered a la carte. Reservations are required for the dining area where the buffet is served.

For those ordering off the menu in the bar/lounge area, you can choose from several different starters, salads, ballpark staples, sandwiches and desserts.
The starters offered include: Bacon on a Stick (reviewed below), Signature Wings, Stadium Club Loaded Chips, Wisconsin Cheese Curds and Grand Slam Nacho Helmets, ranging in price from $10-$18; while the sandwich offerings include: Italian Style Roasted Pork, Double Grilled Cheese Patty Melt (reviewed below) and more, ranging in price from $11-$16. Guests can also choose from a variety of desserts priced at $8 including: Brewers Tres Leche Parfait, Caramel Crunch Cheesecake, Brownie Peanut Crunch, and more.
The ever-popular “The Roof” is also still on the menu. The Roof is a dessert comprised of a rich Belgium chocolate brownie mounded with whole vanilla bean ice cream and drizzled with chocolate and caramel syrups, then topped with fresh whipped cream. When you order The Roof, be prepared to share–the portion you receive will feed 2-4 people and is served in a souvenir margarita glass.
If you choose to sit on the patio, which offers an awesome view of the game, you will be able to order from a more limited menu.
As we mentioned, on the night we visited the Johnson Controls Stadium Club, we were treated to several new offerings, so read on for more!
The Wisconsin Roll

New this year, Chef John and his crew are offering sushi as part of the Johnson Controls Club buffet experience. The most popular roll? The Wisconsin Roll, pictured above.
“Many people come up to me after eating this and and say ‘I’ve never had sushi before,’ and I say, ‘You still haven’t,’” Chef John said. That’s because this roll is slightly, er…untraditional. It’s comprised of bratwurst, braised with beer and carmalized onions, sushi rice, cheese curds, Dijon aioli and rolled in crushed pretzels. The plate is then garnished with cheese curds and Stadium Sauce.
Want to also try “real” sushi? Never fear. The buffet also features other more standard rolls, including California Rolls and Ahi Tuna Rolls.
John: A creative idea from the start, this is something I was excited to try. I like sushi, but this is nothing like traditional sushi. A unique taste that is worth a try when sampling the Stadium Club buffet. Are you not a fan of traditional sushi? Fear not. You can still give this a shot!
Cait: Now I have had sushi before–in fact, I’m a big fan–so when I tasted the Wisconsin Roll, I had to ask Chef John exactly what it was that was giving this roll its sushi/fishy taste. The answer? The paper that is used to roll the sushi, apparently. I guess it is what I am used to tasting. The Wisconsin Roll is definitely a must-try if you’re visiting the buffet, but if you truly haven’t had sushi before, you should also try one of the others as well!
BBQ Brisket Skillet
The BBQ Brisket Skillet is house-smoked brisket on a bed of cheesy fries with charred onion and sweet corn poblano relish.
John: I am a HUGE fan of Miller Park’s smoked meats. No matter the brisket, pork, chicken, whatever it is, Chef John does a great job with the smoked meats and all are delicious. When you add that tender beef brisket with a plate of fries, cheese and some other toppings, you have a masterpiece. This was very tasty and could go well as a shared appetizer for the table or even as a full meal.
Cait: These fries were so good we couldn’t stop eating them even though we were both stuffed!
Wisconsin Fish & Chips
Hankering for a good ole’ Wisconsin fish fry regardless of the time of the year or day of the week? Then try this cornflake-crusted haddock, fried to a golden brown and served with fresh cut french fries, cole slaw, tartar sauce, rye bread and butter.
John: I agree with Cait’s assessment on this. A Wisconsin Fish Fry is a tradition and, while this one is very good, I would go with some of the more unique items available in the Stadium Club.
Cait: Although very good, I wouldn’t “waste” my trip the Stadium Club on a fish fry when there are so many other more unique foods to try, such as…
Double-Grilled Cheese Patty Melt
If you’ve conquered “The Beast”, here’s a new challenge for you: An 8 oz. all-beef patty served between two bacon grilled cheese sandwiches with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and Thousand Island dressing.
John: My friends know I am a sucker for a good grilled cheese sandwich, but a grilled cheese sandwich with a burger in the middle!?!? And bacon too!? Count me in! Now, this sandwich is a commitment. It is a challenge. It is also delicious. I found slicing it into quarters was the best way to eat it. It will definitely keep you satisfied throughout an entire baseball game.
Cait: Wow. I don’t even know what to say. Who keeps coming up with this stuff? This 8 oz hamburger is not served on a bun, it uses grilled cheese sandwiches as the bread! And there is bacon on the grilled cheese to boot! I had to use a knife and fork to cut this into pieces, it was too thick for me to eat like a normal sandwich. It was very good and very filling–you’ll likely need a buddy or three to help you polish this off!
Bacon on a Stick
Served as an appetizer/snack, the bacon on a stick is maple-cured slab bacon skewered and served with cheddar cheese curds and jalapeno ranch dipping sauce.
John: I was really excited to try this. The thick sliced bacon was terrific. The juicy strips were delicious and filling–it reminded me of the thick cut bacon appetizer that is famous at the Peter Luger Steakhouse in New York. But, the surprise here for me was the cheese curds. These were probably the best deep fried cheese curds that I have ever tasted (spoken like a true Wisconsin born boy). Lightly breaded to perfection, they were great and the jalapeno ranch dipping sauce was a perfect complement.
Cait: Any time a food is served “on a stick,” it makes me think of Wisconsin State Fair, which is a good thing because they have some of the best and most unique foods around! However, the Stadium Club’s Bacon on a Stick is not your deep-fried, chocolate-dipped variety. In fact, if I didn’t know better, I wouldn’t have known it was actual bacon at all! It’s that thick slab bacon, that’s almost a ham consistency. It’s very tender and a little sweet (the maple-flavor)–delicious! I also enjoyed the cheese curds!

Where To Satisfy Your Craving: The Johnson Controls Stadium Club is located in the left-field corner on the PNC Club Level at Miller Park. The most convenient access to Johnson Controls Stadium Club is located at the north-east corner of the ballpark by the left-field gate. Club members and their guests should use Johnson Controls Stadium Club elevator or escalator to access the main Club entrance. Only Johnson Controls Stadium Club members and their guests have access to the club.
How Do I Get Access to the Club?: Only Johnson Controls Stadium Club members and their guests have access to the club. Entrants are required to present a valid master membership card and / or dated guest pass for entry into the club. All Milwaukee Brewers Season Seat Holders are eligible to apply for a limited number of Johnson Controls Stadium Club memberships. All Field, Loge, and Club Level seating full season ticket accounts with a minimum of two (2) full season tickets receive a complimentary membership to the Johnson Controls Stadium Club. All 20-Game Business Plan accounts in the same areas also receive a complimentary membership. Annual membership dues are $500.
Admission to Johnson Controls Stadium Club requires every person to present either a master membership card or a valid dated guest pass. Each primary owner is issued one membership card to the Club, which permits the bearer plus up to three (3) additional guests entrance to the club. The owner also receives four game-dated entrance passes (guest passes) for each scheduled Brewers home game.
To make dinner/lunch reservations, you can call (414) 902-4707. Reservations are not needed for the Lounge, Bar, or Patio areas of Johnson Controls Stadium Club. Food service in the lounge, bar, and patio areas will end at the completion of the seventh inning.

Cait: As a side note, I have mentioned in previous posts that I had my wedding reception at the Johnson Controls Stadium Club at Miller Park (then The .300 Club) and the food was excellent then as well. Almost six years later, our guests still rave about the great time they had at our reception and I know that the primary reason is the unique and memorable venue that sets things apart from your average banquet hall, restaurant or hotel, and the excellent food, of course!
