Double Clutch Menu Item for the Reds Series: Skyline Chili Skillet

It wouldn’t be a series with the Reds without some famous Skyline Chili being featured at the Double Clutch!  However, your traditional chili bowl won’t be found at one of the most popular Miller Park concession stands.  Of course we have to put a special twist on a traditional meal.  For the three game series with the Reds the “Skyline Chili Skillet” will be featured at the Double Clutch.

The fried egg topping the bowl of chili was an interesting take on a traditional favorite.

The fried egg topping the bowl of chili was an interesting take on a traditional favorite.

Served in a bowl, the very healthy (meaning generous in this case) portion of Skyline Chili is mixed with fried potatoes and topped in a way I have never seen before–with a fried egg.  Of course, some traditional toppings like cheddar cheese, sour cream, caramelized onions and scallions are on top as well.  The meal is made to order, so feel free to take toppings off as you please.  The chili bowl is $9.00 and will be served throughout the three-game series.

As a lifelong Milwaukeean and graduate of Marquette University, I am partial to Real Chili.  To me, nothing beats it.  This dish, however, has a unique take on a classic.  I know it is hot and humid this week, but it is worth a look.

A staple of the Double Clutch, the Spaghetti-in-a-Meatball is also available again and features a 1/2 pound beef and veal meatball stuffed with spaghetti and mozzarella cheese and topped with marinara sauce.  That is $9.

The Double Clutch stand is on the Loge Level outside section 215 (on the first base side of the press box).
