Brewers Eclipse Two Million Tickets Sold on Earliest Date in Franchise History
The Milwaukee Brewers have only played three home games so far this season, but today made a very exciting attendance announcement. The Club has reached two million tickets sold for the 2012 season, marking the fastest climb to the milestone in team history. The two-million plateau was reached this morning.
The previous record for the fastest to two million came on April 19, 2001, the first year that the team played in Miller Park. In comparison to last season when the Brewers set an all-time franchise attendance mark with nearly 3.1 million through the turnstiles, the two-million mark was reached on April 27.
“Brewers fans continue to over-deliver in every way,” said Brewers Chief Operating Officer Rick Schlesinger in a release just made by the club. “We want to thank all of them for their incredible support.”
The five fastest years of reaching two million tickets sold include:
2012 – April 16
2001 – April 19
2009 – April 21
2011 – April 27
2010 – April 29
This means another great summer at Miller Park and fans are reminded to purchase tickets early.
